The Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) Programme assisted countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific to strengthen and improve the management and governance of their biodiversity and natural resources. Through a combination of data-driven tools, technical services and targeted funding, BIOPAMA empowered conservation actors to address regional priorities and enhance decision-making.

In the Caribbean, the programme was implemented by IUCN’s Regional Office for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean (ORMACC), the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC), and the University of the West Indies.

Learning Together and Celebrating Success

As the second phase of the programme (2017-2024) concludes, BIOPAMA promoted a knowledge management exercise to analyse the outcomes of the BIOPAMA programme.

We invite you to explore a collection of knowledge products and multimedia materials developed to reflect on achievements, share lessons learned, and celebrate the impact of our collective efforts across the Caribbean.
